Vendée Globe 2000
A very special race !
Wichard has been selected by the majority of the boats participating  
in this years race.  They chose our shackles and snap shackles because 
they are designed to work in the world's worst conditions. 
Michel Desjoyeaux et Dominique Wavre are proof of our dedication to 
 produce the world's finest hardware. Honourable mention to Ellen,

The first 3 boats have arrived and all are equiped with Wichard gear.
CLUB MED, INNOVATION EXPLORER and TEAM ADVENTURE 
have successfully rounded the world using our new Wichard forged 
trigger snap shackles and we know it was not an easy ride.

We are now located in the Portsmouth Business Park on 47 High Point Ave. in historic Portsmouth, Rhode Island . Since we out grew our old building in CT, we decided it made sense to be closer to our customers in the Marine side of our business. Because Portsmouth and the surrounding area is such a center of world class marine activity, the decision of where to go became very easy. We here at Wichard USA. are all very excited by our move so please stop by and say hello and see the new site.
