Our new trigger release snap shackles joined at their bales make
excellent connecting strops for temporarily holding the guy during a running spinnaker
change or "peel". Forged from 17.4ph stainless steel, the strops will easily stand up to the dynamic loads expected on a peel. We have carefully joined the bales to prevent any loss of strength to the snap shackles and of of course they are polished and passivated to our legendary standard. Care should be taken when deciding on size. Type of boat and rig should be taken into consideration. When in doubt as to size you need, please call 800-852-7084 for technical advice.

Boom Vangs and Preventers Vangs are used primarily to hold the boom down and to provide greater mains'1 trim
flexibility in strong winds. They are also useful in preventing an accidental
<<flying gybe>> which can be dangerous to the boat and the crew. |
